The Stormwater Division of Castle Rock Utilities and the Cherry Creek Basin Water Quality Authority have begun work enhancing a three-mile segment of McMurdo Gulch, which stretches into Terrain. The purpose of the project is to stabilize the streambed and protect the quality of water flowing into Cherry Creek reservoir. The project, which is using large boulders and native vegetation to mimic a mountain stream setting, will be completed this summer and will ensure that McMurdo Gulch remains healthy and beautiful.
