There’s a reason why we choose to live in Colorado. It’s about the hiking, skiing, biking, rafting, and climbing. It’s about the 300 days of sunshine and the bluest sky in the country. It’s about the brilliant beams of orange as the sun sets over the Rocky Mountains in the evening. It’s about the colors of fall, the wonderland of winter, the freshness of spring, and the endless days of summer.
It’s because this state has something for every person, every mood, every whim and every occasion. You want it all? Yeah. So do we. That’s why we live in Colorado.
And that’s why we claimed this part of Colorado for the people of Terrain.
Terrain is located on 1,185 acres of natural splendor, tucked away in the small valley that follows McMurdo Gulch. It’s a secluded, peaceful, precious piece of earth, and we want it to remain that way from generation to generation. Rather than dominating the natural terrain, we’ve built our community to be a part of it.
Nearly 600 acres within Terrain has been reserved for parks, trails, and open space containing a variety of historical sites and structures worth preserving. What’s more, our community was designed around the rocky outcroppings and tall Gamble Oak trees that uniquely characterize this part of our state. It’s the land that drew us here, after all. We’d be downright foolish not to preserve it.
We’ve allowed the natural variety in the landscape to define the shape of our community. Rolling topography organically divides unique neighborhoods into enclaves of small, intimate villages. We don’t just live on this land; we are embraced by it. And yet…we are only 5 minutes away from the restaurants, shops, and many conveniences of Castle Rock. Terrain is everything we love about Colorado. Is it any wonder why we choose to call it home?
