Looking for ways to get out and enjoy these long, warm, sunny days? Here’s a lineup of fun things to do in Castle Rock this summer, for everyone from new residents of Terrain to a long time Castle Rocker, or someone looking to move to Castle Rock. The best news is that all of these things can be done with the whole family at little to no cost!

• The Class Rock Cruise-In Car Show on June 17 offers things to see and do for the whole family. This free event typically features over 300 classic cars, as well as live music, food, bounce houses, and a street fair. Roll on out and see what you find!

• Yee Haw! The Douglas County Fair and Rodeo runs from July 30 – August 7 with a full docket of fair events, three PRCA rodeos, carnivals, lots of vendors, and of course the 4-H and FFA exhibits. Visit the Rodeo Events page
  for your chance to sing the National Anthem at the fair! And don’t miss the summer parade to kick off rodeo season on July 29.

• How about a night under the stars? If you are picturing yourself lounging in your lawn chair or on your picnic blanket, sipping some wine and listening to music, then the Downtown Castle Rock Street Party & Concert Under the Lights is just the thing for you. Held on August 11 from 6:00-10:00, this free event will also offer stuff for the kids to do: face painting, bounce houses, and summer games.

• What about a night under the Death Star^™? On August 25, watch Rogue One outside at the Douglas County Library in downtown Castle Rock. A street fair will run from 6:00-10:00, and the free movie will start after dusk.
