Located between Castle Rock and Franktown — and just down the road from us — the Hidden Mesa Open Space includes 1,224 acres of vast grass and shrublands. The Mesa Rim Loop Trail, a 6.9 mile round trip hike of moderate difficulty, is open to hiking, biking and equestrian use. The trail begins at the old homestead at Parker Road, follows Farm Lane as it crosses over Cherry Creek (where it joins the Cherry Creek trail for .3 miles), before winding up the top of the mesa, showcasing gorgeous views.
Trailhead parking can be accessed from Pleasantview Drive or off of Highway 83/Parker Road. For more information about Hidden Mesa Open Space and to begin planning your hike or bike adventure, visit
