Yes! One of our top priorities is to serve and connect the people who live here. Terrain’s club house, swim club, parks, and open space are all host to a variety of annual community-wide events such as an Easter Egg hunt, Fall Festival, a variety of winter holiday events, including a visit from Santa, and potlucks.

We also have a variety of lifestyle clubs that allow residents to connect with others who share similar interests such as book clubs, bunko groups, dog walking groups, yoga classes, clothing exchanges, local brewery beer tastings, hiking, running and snowshoe clubs, and so much more.

Terrain is located on 1,185 acres of natural splendor, tucked away in the small valley that follows McMurdo Gulch. We’ve allowed the natural variety in the landscape to define the shape of our community. Rolling topography organically divides unique neighborhoods into enclaves of small, intimate villages, with a paved trail system making every home, park, trail and amenity easily accessible from anywhere in the community.

Yes. Terrain is managed by TMMC Property Management, a management group that has served some of the nation’s most successful master-planned communities. In addition to helping Terrain’s residents protect the value of one of their biggest and most important investments – their homes – TMMC Property Management invests considerable time and energy in making Terrain a true community. For Terrain’s residents, this means having a dedicated on-site Lifestyle Director and Community Manager to organize community events, provide for the management and maintenance of our parks, neighborhoods, open spaces and other community amenities, and address our questions and concerns.

Terrain is located midway between Denver and Colorado Springs in a valley along the front range of the majestic Rocky Mountains. This allows residents easy access to both large cities, plenty of open space, and the Colorado mountains. Our community is also only 5 minutes from downtown Castle Rock, which was ranked as one of the best places to live by Money magazine and awarded a livability score of 79 from Livability.com.

Secluded within a large valley, nearly 600 acres of Terrain is dedicated for parks, open space and the preservation of historical markers.

Running through our neighborhoods and open space is the Discovery Trail. The trail was designed to take advantage of the land’s unique geology, natural habitat and history, telling the story of the land as it weaves through hidden vistas, historic sites and places ideal for observing local wildlife.

Wrangler Park, located in the heart of the residential area of Terrain, includes a tennis court, picnic pavilion, playgrounds and a playfield. The park is located alongside a bike trail connecting the neighborhoods of Terrain to the regional trail system in the nearby Hidden Mesa and Gateway Mesa open spaces.

Ravenwood Park is planned to be centrally located on a plateau, making it one of the best places in Terrain to take in spectacular views of McMurdo Gulch and the Rocky Mountains. In addition to playgrounds and playfields, the park includes a long in-ground slide that is integrated into the natural topography of the hillside, taking full advantage of the natural slope.

Dog Bone Park, also located within the residential area of Terrain, is a large space where residents can unleash their 4-legged family members and let them run free.

Terrain Swim Club, named Best Clubhouse by the Homebuilders Association of Metro Denver, is exclusive to the residents of our community and situated in a location that makes it easily accessible to everyone who lives here. The swim club includes an indoor gathering place that opens to the pool and deck area and is a favorite summer hangout for children and adults alike.

A large network of paved trails winds through Terrain, connecting our entire community and allowing residents to explore diverse landforms, rugged outcroppings and historic landmarks such as the 1930s-era Civilian Conservation Corps campsite. New trails are continually being added as our community grows.

The variety of homes in Terrain range from the mid $300s to the high $400s. Homes range from just over 1,800 square feet to nearly 4,000 square feet, and include options for 2–5 bedrooms. Collections include ranch style and two-story homes, 2- and 3-car garages, and large lots that take advantage of the lush natural landscape.

Located in Douglas County, Terrain families have the choice between 21 local schools, three of which are only minutes from any home in the community. Sage Canyon Elementary is located inside Terrain’s boundaries, Mesa Middle School is less than a 5-minute drive away, and a paved path lets kids bike from Terrain to Douglas County High School in just 15 minutes.
