At our upcoming July 4th event, celebrate both our nation’s independence and our community pride! The Terrain community will celebrate Independence Day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, at Wrangler Park.
Residents are now able register for this event at the Eventbrite site below. Be one of the first 350 people to register and you’ll receive complimentary tickets for the catered lunch! Quantities are limited, so please register by midnight on Wednesday, July 1. See the most recent Terrain Community News newsletter for the password.
The fun begins at 11 a.m. with a bike and pet parade for the kids. Decorate your tricycles, bicycles, wagons, scooters, and Power Wheels in red, white and blue! Show your patriotic spirit by dressing up (and don’t forget to bring your favorite pet). Staging for the parade will begin at 10:45 a.m. at Wrangler Park. If you bring a “four-legged friend” to the park, please be courteous and clean up after your pet, thank you.
This event will feature music and a performance of the U.S. National Anthem. We will also be hosting a fundraiser to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project: www.woundedwarriorproject.org. Patriotic pins, bracelets, and bandanas will be available for purchase; 100% of the proceeds will be donated in support of our veterans. Cash and checks will be accepted.
After the parade; bring your own picnic lunch, or, sign up early to enjoy a special meal from Rory’s Catering. Spread out on the grass to enjoy a community picnic with your friends and neighbors. Don’t forget to bring your lawn games, water balloons, lawn chairs, and sunscreen!
Remember, only the first 350 people to register will receive a complimentary lunch of hamburger, chips, pasta salad, watermelon, beverage, and dessert from Rory’s Catering. Quantities are limited, so register early!
